Course Overview

The interview is frequently perceived simply as a selection device but it is in fact a vital management tool used on a daily basis by managers. Selection, appraisal, feedback and counselling, discipline and exit interviews all provide opportunities to develop a more productive and constructive employment relationship, but only if they are handled well!

The focus of this 3-day course is on learning to use each interview opportunity to enhance the effective management of people. It includes plenty of practical exercises using CCTV.

Audience

The course will benefit all those who are, or will be, required to interview employees as part of their personnel or line management responsibilities. It is designed primarily for those who have had little or no previous formal training in this area. For more experienced interviewers the level of practical involvement provides a chance to experiment and develop new approaches in a positive and constructive atmosphere.

Introductory level course -geared towards those who need an introduction to the subject and assumes limited or no previous experience.
