Course Overview This 3-day course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of HR. Its purpose is to meet the direct needs of those who are 'time squeezed' and need an overview of the work, role and key functions of an HR department. The highly participative and practical programme will ensure that participants gain 'hands-on' experience through individual and group exercises and discussions. In addition, participants are encouraged to 'self-evaluate' both what they have learned and the implications for their future work performance and career development. Audience The course is designed for those setting up an HR function, managers who have recently transferred into HR from other functions, those at the outset of their HR career and who are considering HR as a professional career and would value an introduction before committing to the CIPD professional qualification, and administrators and PAs with HR responsibilities.
