Course Overview

Learn to effectively manage your network environment withHP OpenView Network Node Manager (NNM) version 7.0. This course guides you through the NNM user interfaceand provides valuable information on using maps,submaps, objects, and symbols. You also gainexperience in working with simple network managementprotocol (SNMP), management information base (MIB),events, and alarms. This two-day course is 50 percentlecture and 50 percent hands-on labs.

Audience

Network operators who have basic UNIX, orWindows, experience as well as basic networkingexperience.

Prerequisites

Previous hands-on experience with UNIX administration in a network environment, or previous hands-onexperience with Windows administration in a networkenvironment.
