Course Overview

This practical 1-day course enables participants to understand the law that applies to the collection, storage and use of personal data in the workplace, from the beginning to the end of the employment relationship.

Audience

Personnel practitioners responsible for employment law issues within their organisation. No prior knowledge of data protection law is required.General course level - appropriate for all levels of delegates.

  • advise on the key principles applying to the collection, access and use of personal data
  • relate the provisions in the employment code to practical day-to-day issues
  • make clear to all staff the need for security of data
