Training Skills: Effective delivery of learning

Course Overview

This course gives practical guidance on how to deliver effective learning and would benefit both inexperienced and experienced 'deliverers' who need to gain confidence in delivery skills. Participants will have the opportunity to review, learn and practise skills in a constructive and encouraging environment.

Audience

Experienced and inexperienced deliverers of learning who wish to practise or review their style of delivery.

Those who wish to gain extensive practical experience of highly participative materials such as role-plays, games and exercises should attend The Trainer as facilitator.

Instructors or trainers who deliver 'hands-on' job instruction programmes should attend Instructional training techniques.

Those who wish to gain experience of writing training courses should attend Designing learning and development programmes.

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• identify personal delivery strengths and development areas
• use visual aids effectively
• facilitate group sessions
• deal with common delivery difficulties
• use effective verbal and non-verbal communication to enhance delivery
