Course Overview This class is applicable to Oracle9i and Oracle8i users. In this course students gain an understanding of Oracle's relational and object relational database management systems through the powerful SQL language. The SQL commands, functions, and operators supported by Oracle as extensions to standard SQL are emphasized. Students learn to create and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, views, constraints, and sequences. Students also learn to store, retrieve by using advanced techniques such as grouping sets, SET operators, and hierarchical retrieval, and manipulate data. They also learn to write SQL script files using iSQL*Plus tool, and to generate report-like output. Demonstrations and hands on practices reinforce the fundamental concepts.
