Course Overview

This course provides learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to design an environment in which all products of the Citrix Access Suite 4.0 will be implemented. During this course, learners are given best practices for making design decisions, and are expected to use this information to create mock designs for environments. The content for this course is based on Citrix Presentation Server 4.0, Citrix Password Manager 4.0 and Citrix Access Gateway 4.2 with Advanced Access Control.

Audience

This course is intended for architects, integrators and consultants who design, build, test and rollout a Citrix Access Suite 4.0 implementation. Training attendees are assumed to possess senior-level expertise in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Terminal Services and Citrix design and administration.

Skills Gained

Upon successful completion of this course, learners are able to perform the following:

  • Conduct a design meeting and identify architecture, operational process and implementation design areas
  • Create a design for server farm implementation, deployment of Presentation Server, printing architecture, application deployment and Installation Manager integration in a Citrix Access Suite environment
  • Plan Advanced Access Control, Web Interface and Citrix Access Suite Client designs
  • Create a Secure Gateway, Access Gateway Advanced Edition and Password Manager architectural design in a Citrix Access Suite environment
  • Create an architectural design for the license server, hardware, operating system configuration, networking and data storage in a Citrix Access Suite environment
  • Create an architectural design for operational and support procedures, systems management integration, change control, application integration, scalability testing, recovery and training in a Citrix Access Suite environment
  • Create pilot, migration and rollout designs, to create user tools and to implement rollout sup
