Course Overview

To provide training in the syntax and use of RPGIV and the concepts of modular programming in the ILE.

Audience

RPGIV application programmers who are developing RPGIV programs on the iSeries and who intend to use ILE as the programming model to create re-usable program modules.

This course will enable delegates to:

  • State the features and benefits of moving to ILE as a programming model.
  • Define the differences between OPM and ILE.
  • Create modules and service programs.
  • Use activation groups for ILE programs.
