Course Overview

Query is one of the optional licensed programs shipped with the iSeries. It allows users to interrogate the database to produce enquiries and simple reports.

Audience

Users, support staff or managers wishing to be able to produce reports or show information on screen from their iSeries files.

Skills Gained

This course will enable delegates to:

  • Use query to produce a simple report or enquiry from the database.
  • Create new query definitions, revise existing definitions, and run existing query definitions.
  • Use query to report data from more than one database file.
  • Use the query presentation features to layout a report.
  • Direct output from a query to a printer, a screen, or a database file.

Prerequisites
