Course Overview

This course aims to give delegates a good understanding of the Java language, before moving on to use the language within IBMs Websphere Studio IDE.

Audience

This course is for Applications Developers new to Java who will be developing applications in Java using IBMs Websphere IDE

Skills Gained

The main benefit of this approach is that delegates will get a good appreciation of the language itself unhindered by the complications of the IDE, before moving on to implement what they have learnt within Websphere Studio, building up their knowledge as they proceed. By the end of the course delegates will be building their code within Websphere Studio, and able to take advantage of the facilities for java programmers available within Websphere Studio.

Prerequisites

Delegates should ideally be experienced programmers in languages other than Java. No knowledge of the Java language itself is required or expected
