Course Overview

To provide a sound foundation in the gathering, clarification and description of Business Requirements that drive Business and IT change.

This course has been classified as IT Technical Training.

Audience

Business analysts and systems analysts who are responsible for defining requirements. Others who work closely with the analysts in this activity such as business users and managers involved in the elicitation, analysis and validation. Technical staff who will be responsible for implementing and testing the requirements; they will need to understand and be involved in the requirements definition process, checking that the requirements satisfy their needs.

Skills Gained

This course will enable delegates to:

  • Gather and record requirements.
  • Clarify requirements and negotiate change scope.
  • Qualify requirements against the business case.
  • Begin defining how to test that requirements are delivered.

Examinations

On completion of this course delegates may wish to sit for the latest ISEB Certificate in Requirements Engineering which counts towards an ISEB Diploma in Business analysis.

No pre-requisites, it is however recommended that delegates attend Business Analysis Essentials.
