Course Overview Everything a developer needs to know about writing applications for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007). This course applies to both Windows SharePoint Services v3 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Students will learn and understand the fundamental architecture of WSS v3 from the inside out. Starting with how both ASP .NET 2.0 and WSS v3 have been modified to work more closely together for servicing Web requests. Developers will understand both the server side object model and Web services API's in order to leverage the best approach for working with SharePoint Technologies. The new Web Part infrastructure, search infrastructure, workflow processing capabilities and document management facilities will be covered. We will also cover the details of how ASP .NET Master Pages is leveraged for site customization as well as templates and site definitions. Workflow technologies will be covered both with the out of the box functionality and customizations that can be done via the new SharePoint Designer, as well as customizing workflows with Visual Studio 2005. Audience Software developers and system architects that need to understand the architecture and programming techniques required to build collaborative applications using Windows SharePoint Services v3 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Prerequisites All students should already understand the basics of the .NET Framework. Student should also be comfortable using Visual Studio .NET and programming in either C# or Visual Basic .NET.
