Learn about the supported high available Virtual Small Computer System Interface (VSCSI) and Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN) configurations and gives the students the opportunity to implement and test some of those solutions.

Audience

This is an expert course for individuals who manage and plan an IBM System p5 server running the AIX 5L V5.3 operating system. This includes:

  • AIX technical support individuals
  • System administrators
  • Syystems engineers
  • System architects

Skills Gained

  • Di scuss the advantages or value of Advanced POWER Virtualization (APV)
  • Di scuss the Hardware Management Console (HMC) customization and disaster recovery
