This course gives an in-depth look at Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS).

Course labs include planning a network, defining a workstation and domain, installing a new TWS workstation and TWS component

Audience

This course is intended for the following people:

• Tivoli Workload Scheduler system and network administrators who are responsible for TWS 8.2 network planning, installation, maintenance, configuration and problem solving.
• Tivoli Workload Scheduler system and network administrators who are converting to 8.2 from earlier versions.

• Plan a TWS network to meet the needs of an organization
• Describe the TWS processes, their functions and interaction

• Install and configure TWS network and the individual workstations, including the time zone

Prerequisites

• Attend TM15GB - Tivoli Framework
• Attend TM35GB - Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Scheduling and Operations
• Knowledge of TWS scheduling and operations.
• Knowledge of Tivoli Framework and its installation.
• Working knowledge of the UNIX operating system.
• Knowledge of current job management methodology in local environment would be helpful.
• Knowledge of TWS network in local environment would be helpful.
