Course Overview

This is a two-day instructor-led course (Fortinet Code 301) designed to provide participants with more detailed knowledge of the key features of the FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer and FortiClient products. The course features structured exercises to give hands-on experience in configuring the wide range of features presented

Audience

This course is designed for those people who will be involved in the implementation, configuration or operation of any of the FortiGate range of devices.

Skills Gained

Upon completion of this course delegates will have the comprehensive knowledge and the lab experience required to protect medium to large size of enterprise networks using FortiGate devices. Specifically delegates will be able to:

  • Understand FortiGate Routing.
  • Implement Virtual Domains.
  • Configure HA and Virtual Clusters.
  • Understand IPS and conduct Vulnerability Tests
  • Configure IPSec VPNs
  • Configure SSL VPNs
  • Undertake Advanced Troubleshooting

Prerequisites

Delegates attending this course should have previously attended the 201: FortiGate Multi-Threat Security Systems I course and have a detailed knowledge of the following areas:

  • IP addressing
  • Communications, and routing
  • Network security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection and VPN
