Course Overview

Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) provides a new version of OC4J. Depending on the installation type, Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) includes Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle Containers for J2EE (OC4J), Oracle Process Manager and Notification Server (OPMN), Application Server Control Console, and Oracle Top Link. You can integrate Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) with an existing Oracle Application Server environment such as 10g (9.0.4) or 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) OracleAS Infrastructure, 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) Oracle HTTP Server, or 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) OracleAS Web Cache components.

This course enables the participants to effectively install and manage Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3). The participants learn how to create and manage Websites, deploy J2EE applications and manage SSL in an Oracle Application Server. Participants learn backing up and restoring the Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) instances. The participants also learn the concepts of clustering and how to configure and manage these clusters. In addition, the participants learn how to configure and upgrade to Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3).

If the participants are familiar with Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) and intend to use this version along with the Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3), this is the right course for learning about Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) administration. If the participants are planning to use Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) as stand alone, then this is the right course for learning about Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) administration as well.
