Course Overview As a prospective Web developer, you'll need to create both individual pages and to fit those files in an entire site structure. Thus far, you may have some knowledge of the underlying HTML structure of Web pages and affiliated technologies such as JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets, but haven't used Dreamweaver to apply them to live sites. In this course, you'll learn to take full advantage of Dreamweaver's efficient interface for developing a static site with text, images, media, navigation elements, and forms. By applying its site management tools, you'll ensure that the site you create works as you intended for the widest possible audience. Audience The target student is the professional who wants to use Dreamweaver 8 to design and develop Web pages with a WYSIWYG application, but who also has the ability to understand and work with the architecture and coding of Web pages. Students are those in small companies or departments within large companies who use Web technologies for electronic communication through the use of new technologies. Some examples of target customers are advertising agencies, marketing agencies, and groups involved in intranet and extranet production. Skills Gained You will use Dreamweaver's graphical page-building interface to efficiently develop and manage static Web sites that feature text, graphics, multimedia, navigation, and form elements.
