Course Overview You will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to take the final text in the process of becoming an authorised warranty servicer on IBM BladeCentre. Audience This course is intended for service personnel who wish to perform service on IBM Bladecenter Skills Gained This course is designed to familiarize you with the IBM eServer BladeCenter and by the end of the course students will be able to perform the following - Safely remove and replace the major mechanical and electrical components of a BladeCenter
- Use a Management Module (MM) to set configuration parameters and settings
- Use Serial-over-LAN (SoL) to access and manage a JS20 blade server
- Gather, read and understand information from event logs to assist in problem isolation and repair
- Fix a number of preconfigured errors on the systems in class
Prerequisites Before attending class, we recommend that you are - A+ certified and Server+ certified (mandatory in some locations)
