Course Overview A fast track course for training people to work in an z/OS or OS/390 environment. This course includes the use of ISPF/PDF dialogs, TSO/E commands and basic JCL (Job Control Language). Audience IT personnel intending to work in the OS/390 environment and a need to pursue an accelerated learning path. Skills Gained On completion you will be able to: - Describe the main concepts of system/390 and OS/390 needed at this level
- Log on to TSO/E and start ISPF/PDF
- Navigate ISPF/PDF dialogs and use the basic ISPF/PDF functions
- Understand the basic coding rules for JCL and submitting a job
- Describe and use selected IBM utilities to perform common functions
- Call and use both instream and catalogued procedures.
