Course Overview

CTX-4100AI Citrix Presentation Server 4.5: Skills Update provides the foundation necessary to effectively deploy and administer Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and its components, including Web Interface,application streaming and Secure Gateway. Learners will receive hands-on training for installing Citrix Presentation Server and Presentation Server Clients and for using the various administrative consoles to configure policies, individual server and server farm settings, isolation environments, streaming applications and much more.

Audience

This course is intended for IT professionals, such as server, network, systems and help desk administrators with experience administering Microsoft(R) Windows(R) environments containing Citrix MetaFrame XP Feature Release 3. Systems engineers, analysts, consultants, and architects with Citrix MetaFrame XP Feature Release 3 experience are also appropriate candidates for this course

Skills Gained

Upon successful completion of this course, learners are able to:

  • Install Presentation Server 4.5 in a Windows Server 2003 environment.
  • Install and configure Presentation Server Clients for Windows.
  • Configure and manage connection and printing policies for Presentation Server.
  • Configure ICA connection and session settings.
  • Configure and manage server and server farm settings.
  • Deploy applications into an isolation environment.
  • Install and configure Web Interface.
  • Configure application streaming for Presentation Server.
  • Secure access to published resources.

Prerequisites

It is recommended that learners complete the CTX-1455CW Citrix Common Management Platform 4.5: Administration eLearning course prior to attendance in this skills update class.
