Course Overview

This instructor-led course teaches you about the Web service and Extensible Markup Language (XML) application security and monitoring features provided by the XI50 and XS40 IBM WebSphere DataPower Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Appliances. You will learn how to configure an XML firewall to protect against a new class of XML-based threats, create a Web services proxy to enforce a security policy, configure Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to and from the DataPower appliance, and enforce service level policies by creating monitors that measure message traffic. You will also learn how to troubleshoot their services using logs, probes and error handling, and how to employ best practices and architectural scenarios for effectively using DataPower appliances in the SOA architecture.

Audience

This course is designed for integration developers responsible for configuring service policies on the IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliance.
