Course Overview The class will focus on Oracle 10gR2 Real Application Cluster (RAC) for AIX/System p environments with a comprehensive 4.5 day lecture/lab/lecture agenda covering: AIX Configuration and setup, Oracle clusterware and RDBMS installation, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), General Parallel File System (GPFS), DB creation, Transparent Application Failover (TAF), Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)/Grid Control and more. Audience This class is primarily intended for technical support personnel working as IBM Systems Integration Partners and IBM Business Partners. IBM System p ATS, FTSS, STS technical specialists, selected customers, and Oracle Regional Designated Specialists (RDS) are invited to attend as well. Prerequisites The lab exercises are quite intensive and assume a good working knowledge of AIX and previous exposure to Oracle customer environments.
