Course Overview IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center provides a set of tools for managing storage capacity, availability, events, performance and assets in an enterprise environment. Automated policies can detect potential problems and make adjustments based on the criteria that you define. IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center is a key component in the information lifecycle management solution. Each student is assigned a unique server to administer IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center 3.1 in a Windows 2003 environment. The course is comprised of over 50 % hands-on and more than seventy lab exercises reinforcing the instructor based lectures. Instructor lecture and demonstrations have a strong focus on reports and how to generate them. Students will practice administering the entire suite of products including Data Manager, Disk Manager, and Fabric Manager and integrate those components into their storage solution. Audience This is an intermediate course for System Administrators who are responsible for all aspects of storage management in a SAN environment. - Familiarity with the IBM ESS (Enterprise Storage Server)
- Familiarity with the IBM Disk Storage family (DS4000/DS6000/8000 series)
