Course Overview

This course presents a broad survey of basic data communications principles, communications facilities, and DTE/DCE interfaces. You will learn about the OSI reference model, X.25, and SNA network architecture. You will analyze the RS-232C interface and the BISYNC and SDLC control sequences. After completing the course, you will be comfortable with major data communications issues and terminology.
