Course Overview

In this 3 day course, students will learn how to successfully deploy and manage HP BladeSystem servers. A brief architecture overview will ensure students understand the components of the HP Bladesystem solutions. The system administration components will ensure coverage of both IP networking along with connection to network storage devices. The course then focuses on the HP BladeSystem c-Class and p-Class server deployment and management using the software applications and tools from Insight Control Environment.

  • Administrators, engineers and consultants who will plan and manage the deployment of HP ProLiant BladeSystem c-Class and p-Class blade servers

Prerequisites

  • Insight Control Environment Foundations is recommended HE643S

Skills Gained

  • Discuss the deployment and management tools available for HP BladeSystem solutions.
  • Prepare a deployment server and deploy HP BladeSystem servers using HP BladeSystem servers uisng HP ProLiant Essentials RDP.
  • Explain how to connnect ProLiant BL c-Class and p-Class servers to an HP SAN.
  • Describe the features, tools and solutions of the BladeSyste c-Class server blades and storage blades.
  • Discuss the architecuture of the ProLiant BLc-Class and p-Class system components and their benefits.
  • Chooose the appropriate interconnect options for HP BladeSystem servers.
  • Install HP ProLiant Essentials Systems Insight Manager and monitor the server blades.
