Course Overview This course introduces students to the Storage Essentials environment and provides an overview of features and functionality. Students will learn about the product implementation process including how to verify the underlying environment prior to product installation. Basic configuration and troubleshooting are also covered. Audience This course is intended for Storage Essentials implementers and support personnel (internal and channel). Skills Gained Upon successful completion of this course, students will be ableto: - Perform a Storage Essentials (+ HP SIM) implementation
- Perform basic troubleshooting tasks
- Describe Storage Essentials key features/functionality
- Configure (basic) the product for use by the custom
Prerequisites Storage Foundation (includes Full-line WBTs + Introduction to SAN 16929 2003 Server (create users, install Proliant Support Packs, install windows software, Remote Desktop connection, DOS, Telnet) Knowledge of at least one current storage system (EVA GL, EVA XL, MSA, XP 128/1024, XP 10000/12000)Use of Command View or the ACU
