Course Overview

The OCM exam is conducted at designated Oracle University facilities in each global region.

An Oracle Certified Master is a top-level Oracle expert who has in depth technical knowledge of the Oracle data server and industry experience managing mission critical Oracle database systems and applications. An OCM is looked upon as an expert within their organization, amongst their peers and across the industry.

Prerequisites

Before registering for the OCM, candidates must:

  • Earn their Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Professional (OCP) credential
  • Attend two of the approved advanced Hands-on Oracle University DBA courses that are recognized toward the course requirement
  • Submit the 10g OCM Hands-on Course Requirement form
  • OCM participants complete a series of scenarios and resolve technical and failure problems within an Oracle 10g environment.
  • Visit the Oracle Certification Program website to view all the details about the OCM exam, including the minimum recommended skills. http://www.oracle.com/education/certification
  • Scenarios are timed and require a high degree of Oracle database knowledge to successfully complete them.
  • It is highly recommended that participants have a minimum of 3 - 4 years of Oracle database administrator experience
