Course Overview The purpose of this course is to train technical staff on installation of the FileNet P8 3.5 platform. The class will include installing FileNet P8 3.5 onto various combinations of operating systems, directory services, and other third-party software, with the goal of installing multiple working FileNet P8 systems during the course. Audience This course is targeted for those technical professionals who are required to install the FileNet P8 3.5 platform in a supported environment. Prerequisites It is critical that you have the following experience to receive maximum benefit from this course: - Successful completion of FileNet P8 Platform Administration (F745GB)
- Understanding of the overall architecture of the FileNet P8 Platform
- Microsoft Windows server operating system experience
- Familiarity with basic UNIX operating system commands
Course Outline The first 4 days of the class allow the student to practice installing the FileNet P8 software on different platform configurations (for example, Active Directory and Sun Java System Directory Server, WebSphere and JBoss/Tomcat application servers, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases, Windows and UNIX operating systems). For those individuals seeking FileNet Technical Support certification, the last day of the class is used to validate that the student can do a successful installation without instructor assistance. Successfully passing the validation portion earns a Completed status on requirement 201490L FileNet P8 Installation as part of your progress towards Technical Support Certification.
