Course Overview The purpose of this course is to introduce to all users the wide range of interactive facilities available with ISPF. Practical sessions using the latest version of ISPF (during which each attendee is provided with a terminal) form an integral part of the course to allow the theory to be fully appreciated. Audience Any potential user of ISPF. Skills Gained On completion of this course the attendee should be familiar with the major functions and facilities of ISPF. By The End Of This Course You Will Have Learned How to use ISPF Browse, EDIT and utility functions to manage user data and jobs interactively. Prerequisites An appreciation of OS/390. Course Outline Introduction Since ISPF provides a user interface to TSO, a brief functional overview of TSO is given and the ISPF inter-relationship is explained together with TSO/ISPF dataset naming conventions Browse and edit A detailed look at the browse and edit facilities, creating dataset subsets or library members and the submission of batch jobs ISPF utilities - Delete, print or re-name datasets or members
