Course Overview

The four day course is intended to bridge the gap between the ITIL v2 Manager's Certificate in IT Service Management and the ITIL v3 Diploma in IT Service Management.

This course has been classified as IT Technical Training.

Audience

The course is designed for individuals who already hold the Manager's Certificate in IT Service Management at an earlier ITIL version and who wish to obtain the ITIL Diploma in IT Service Management, thereby demonstrating their knowledge of ITIL V3.

Skills Gained

To educate delegates in the concepts and principles embodied in ITIL v3, focussing on those that are new to v3, and those that have significantly changed since earlier versions. To prepare delegates for The ITIL Bridge Qualification: ITIL v1/v2 Manager's to ITIL v3 Diploma

Examinations

ITIL Bridge Qualification: ITIL v1/v2 Manager's to ITIL v3 Diploma. The qualification will not be awarded as a free-standing Certificate and is only available to existing holders of the ITIL Manager's Certificate from earlier versions. Successful completion will enable delegates to attain the ITIL Diploma in IT Service Management, and to progress to the Advanced ITIL Diploma in IT Service Management (when available).

The format of the examination for the Bridge Qualification: ITIL v2 Manager's to ITIL v3 Diploma will consist of a complex multiple choice, closed book paper of 20 questions, to be answered within 90 minutes. (Candidates sitting the examination in English and who do not have English as their first language will be allowed 105 minutes to allow use of a dictionary.) The pass mark will be 80% or more - 16 or more correct answers.
