Course Overview Corporate governance has been an important issue for both public and private sector organisations, for quite some time now. Changes and improvements to various schemes have been frequent, leading to the need for adequate assurance that best practice is fulfilled. So far, most effort has been applied to the setting up of corporate governance regimes but little attention seems to have been directed to the audit of them. This course aims to clarify what corporate governance should be and how it might be audited from an internal audit perspective. Audience This course is for anyone who is going to be responsible for conducting information security internal audits and benefits everyone who is involved in information security, in internal audit, in the development and deployment of an Information Security Management System ('ISMS') or in auditing IT Service Level Agreements. Prerequisites None. Course Outline - Corporate governance essential elements
