Course Overview

  • This course provides an introduction to the important features of both relational databases and specifically SQL Server 2000/2005. The course will involve a terminology guide

  • a comprehensive guide to the SQL Server tools, including Enterprise Manager and Query Analyser and database implementation basics, with an introduction to T-SQL and SQL Server security.

Audience

This course is for support personnel who need to understand the basic concepts of SQL Server 2000 and 2005, from an administration or development viewpoint. This includes application developers (Visual Basic, C++, etc.) who need a basic grounding in SQL Server 2000 or 2005.

Prerequisites

No previous knowledge of the program is assumed although a working knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server/XP will be useful.
