Course Overview

The Revit Architecture Essentials Module is designed to cover basic Revit functions. Delegates are introduced to modeling within an intelligent, object orientated CAD environment. We teach the production of production drawings using Revit's comprehensive command set; including walls, doors, windows, section and see how this automatically creates and maintains all the views necessary to produce production drawing sheets. Training also includes basic rendering of 3d perspective views and creation of revit families (parametric symbols).

Audience

This course is designed for new users of Revit Architecture 2008.

Skills Gained

This course covers the basics of Revit Architecture 2008, from schematic design through construction documentation. Delegates are introduced to the concepts of Building Information Modeling and the tools for parametric building design and documentation.

Examinations

On completion of the course you will be presented with an Autodesk Authorised Training Certificate.

Prerequisites

No previous CAD experience is necessary. However, architectural design, drafting or engineering experience is highly recommended. It is recommended that delegates have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.
