Course Overview

UNIX is now an acknowledged integral part of z/OS with most installations running at least one UNIX application on the main server. This course takes the IT professional beyond the basic knowledge of what UNIX is and equips them to activate the UNIX function of z/OS and to install an application. It is a highly practical course with guided hands-on exercises.

Audience

This course is for z/OS system programmers and system administration staff who are responsible for implementing and/or maintaining UNIX on a z/OS system It is also for UNIX professionals who are implementing UNIX and UNIX applications on an z/OS system and need to understand the environment.

Prerequisites

This course is designed to follow on from our Introduction to Unix on z/OS course. Delegates are strongly recommended to attend both courses together.
