Course Overview IBM Tivoli Business Services Manager (TBSM) helps visualise the health of critical business services and associated SLAs. TBSM enables IT to target resources and actions toward the most critical and costly IT resources and issues, ultimately delivering the greatest impact to the business. In this course, you learn how to install and integrate TBSM 4.1 with a variety of service event sources. Additionally, you learn how to build custom dashboards to visualise business service health. Audience System Administrators and Implementers tasked with installing and configuring TBSM 4.1 Skills Gained Delegates will learn how to: - Install and configure TBSM 4.1
- Verify that each TBSM component is operational and is properly communicating with other TBSM components
- Integrate with IBM Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager (TADDM)
- Integrate with IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) 6.x
- Integrate with IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC)
- Integrate with z/OS service events
- Describe how Discovery Library Adapters (DLAs) are used to populate discovered resources directly into TADDM
- Use the Discovery Library Toolkit to populate the Services Configuration Repository (SCR)
- Build custom dashboards to customise service status views
Prerequisites - IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager 4.1 for Administrators
- IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus 7.1 User
- IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus 7.1 Administration and Configuration.
- Working knowledge of TBSM 4.1
- Background in networking protocols and architectures - Familiarity with database concepts
- Familiarity with system monitoring and system event concepts
- Familiarity with IBM Netcool OMNIbus Object Server
