Course Overview

This course is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the design and technology of IBM's BladeCenter H systems and components. In addition to studying the architectural design of the BladeCenter H chassis, the course also includes technical explanation of the specifications and features provided by the different blade servers and I/O modules.

The course also discusses various management options for the BladeCenter. Capabilities and features of the Advanced Management Module are explained, as well as management and configuration capabilities through IBM Director.

Audience

This is an intermediate course for individuals with responsibility for technical marketing, product implementation, and technology exploitation of IBM BladeCenter solutions.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Understand the key advantages of the IBM BladeCenter offering
  • Explain the mechanical and architectural characteristics of the BladeCenter H chassis components
  • Describe features and functionality of the different I/O modules
