Course Overview

Despite the introduction of COSHH regulations over ten years ago, the health of thousands of employees continues to be affected by exposure to hazardous substances. COSHH 2002 introduced a number of significant changes, important ones defining adequacy of control were introduced last year and other changes for certain substances are in the pipeline. This workshop will help you to comply with the regulations and therefore avoid prosecution by the HSE and help minimise employee compensation claims.

This course will explain the principle of COSHH and the changes that have occurred since its inception. This will allow you to thoroughly review your organisation's processes and procedures to ensure that you are in compliance with all the latest developments.

Case studies will be included which cover a wide variety of circumstances relating to a typical range of occupational exposure patterns, allowing you to learn from real life examples. You will also be shown how to identify key information and interpret the results.
