Course Overview

WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is the IEEE 802.16 standards-based wireless network technology that provides high-throughput broadband wireless network service. WiMAX is being deployed in a range of applications, including last mile broadband service, hotspot services, cellular network backhaul, and high-speed enterprise wireless connectivity.

This comprehensive 3-day WiMAX training course provides an in-depth coverage of WiMAX technologies, applications, standards and protocol layers. Important topics such as quality of service, throughput, coverage, interoperability, interference and security are also discussed.

This comprehensive WiMAX course also covers essential RF theory, microwave propagation, RF link budget calculations, WiMAX security and additional security techniques used with WiMAX networks and WiMAX site survey are also examined.
