Course Overview

Integrated Services Digital Networking, ISDN, revolutionised telecommunications networking in that it brought together the first viable convergence of voice and data networking. ISDN offers the power of dedicated bandwidth, that had been available with point to point full and fractional E1/T1 static leased lines.

ISDN then gives the user the power to switch that bandwidth to any given destination in the same way as setting up a telephone call.

This course provides an essential coverage of ISDN networking technology markets, systems, and operation. It also covers ISDN network troubleshooting techniques, and an objective discussion of the applications that are be typically served by ISDN.

Audience

This course is essential for all staff who will install, configure, administrate, support, sell, or market ISDN networking products services, or solutions.

Prerequisites

Delegates must have a good understanding of datacommunications principles, or have attended Course 301: Introduction to Data Communications and Networking, prior to attending.
