Course Overview

The Certificate in Training Practice (CTP) is a nationally-recognised, stand-alone qualification awarded by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD). The route towards achieving the CTP follows a syllabus-based programme that covers a range of knowledge, skills and competences, all of which can be directly applied in the workplace. It is a programme for practising or aspiring Learning and Development practitioners and is run by experienced training professionals. This course covers Module Four - Identifying Learning Needs.

    • Gathering and recording information relevant to the identification of organisational, departmental and individual learning needs
    • Interviewing techniques

    Day 2

    • Observation techniques
    • Recording the findings
    • Practical interviewing to establish individual learning needs with feedback provided by peers and tutor

    Day 3

    • Learning opportunities
    • Prioritising training, budgeting implications and training plans
    • Government Initiatives in Training
