PRINCE2 Practitioner Re-Registration Exam Preparation Workshop

Course Overview

This 1-day course provides individuals with refresher information on the PRINCE2method and provides coaching/practice questions, so that candidates can prepare themselves for the specific requirements of the PRINCE2 Re-registration Examination (which should be undertaken soon after completion of this workshop).

Audience

This course is aimed at people who already are PRINCE2 Practitioners and need to maintain their accreditation (typically every 3-5 years after successfully first passing the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination).

By the end of the course, delegates will:

• Have reviewed the PRINCE2 project management method
• Have refreshed the 8 Processes, 8 Components and 3 Techniques of the PRINCE2 method
• Feel comfortable with the current exam's format and typical questions
• Have prepared fully for the PRINCE2 Re-registration Exam

Course Outline

This highly interactive event is modified to suit the needs of the individuals present but is likely to include:

• Introductions and expectations An opportunity to familiarise delegates with the course content, desired outcomes and individual requirements.
• Review of the PRINCE2 project management method The session will review the difference between project and operational work and discuss the benefits of adopting a structured approach to Project Management as advocated by PRINCE2.
• Revision of the 8 management processes, 8 management components and 3 techniques Delegates will have the opportunity to refresh their existing knowledge of PRINCE2 and revisit in detail any areas that require further explanation and/or clarification. A number of syndicate and home-study exercises will enable delegates to practice their application of the PRINCE2 method in preparation for the forthcoming examination.
• Examination preparation To help delegates with their exam approach, guidance on the importance of appropriate time-management and good exam technique will be discussed.
• Re-registration exam A 1 hour written paper (1 question) where delegates have the opportunity to demonstrate their ability in the application of the PRINCE2 method.
