Course Overview The advantage of developing a collaborative relationship is in exploiting the joint knowledge and capabilities of organisations to create added value for the partners, and for the end customer or consumer. It is this sharing of knowledge that is the catalyst for creating value. Value creation is about stimulating innovation and capitalising on the realisation of what may have been known by all but not recognised because of organisational barriers. It is also probable that much of the business process and interaction has been established because of these organisational boundaries and lack of trust. The process of seeking out competitive advantage through collaborative interaction is a major opportunity throughout the value chain. Partnering encourages the building of relationships between organisations of any size, exploiting the potential of integrated business processes to add value, deliver additional benefits and thereby improve overall competitiveness. The CRAFT methodology is the foundation of the British Standards Institution (BSI) PAS 11000 Collaborative Business Relationship Specification, the world's first relationship framework, developed in association with PSL and published in 2006. The aim of this 1-day course is to provide an introduction to this unique collaborative framework as a foundation for the mutual exploitation of collaborative business relationships.
