Course Overview

This course is designed to teach implementation, usage, and basic troubleshooting techniques for the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) family of products and HP StorageWorks Command View EVA. The focus is placed on the EVA4000, EVA6000, and EVA8000. Both the EVA5000 and EVA3000 products are also discussed in the student guide. This course covers all the requirements to successfully implement and perform basic troubleshooting of an EVA solution.

Describe the features the EVA solution + Identify and describe the features and functions of the HSV controllers and disk drive enclosuresDescribe the features the EVA solution and Identify and describe the features and functions of the HSV controllers and disk drive enclosures Define terminology and concepts associated with the EVA and storage virtualization + Explain storage configuration considerations in a solution environment. Set up and configure the array using the Operator Control Panel + Use Command View EVA to set up, configure, and manage the EVA. Set up and use the Storage System Scripting Utility + Perform basic troubleshooting
