Course Overview Gain a high level technical overview of the IBM Power Systems. From a technical point of view, get an introduction to the product range, the AIX operating system, Linux for Power and key related hardware. The software and services offerings available from IBM are introduced so you can learn how to create a balanced solution to meet customer requirements. Prepare for IBM Certification Test 331: Power Systems Sales for AIX and Linux. This course is not a mandatory requirement prior to taking the test. Attending this course does not guarantee that you pass the test, nor does it replace prior education and experience, nor aim to cover every aspect of the tested material. Audience This is a basic course for IBM and IBM Business Partner sales and pre-sales specialists who sell or support sales of IBM Power Systems especially those who wish to prepare for Test 331. Note: If you have extensive experience and prior education, you may not need to attend this course to pass Test 331. Skills Gained On completion of this course, you should able to: - Articulate IBM's strategic direction for Power Systems
- Articulate IBM's technology innovations found in Power Systems products and the business value they provide
- Describe IBM's PowerVM virtualisation offerings and how they enable on demand business

Prerequisites Sales or pre-sales technical experience working for IBM or an IBM Business Partner, reselling IBM Power Systems and AIX solutions is recommended.
