Course Overview In this course, you will learn to support users running applications on the Microsoft Windows? XP operating system. You'll learn about the job duties of the Desktop Support Technician (DST), and you'll resolve a variety of issues having to do with supporting and configuring applications such as Microsoft? Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook? Express, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook. This course covers the subject areas covered in Microsoft Course MS2262. Audience This course is intended for people who have little or no job experience in the IT industry. Students should have experience working with Windows desktop operating systems and should be A+ certified, or have equivalent knowledge. This course is also intended for people currently working in the Tier 1 job role, and who wish to obtain their MCDST credential. It is likely these students will have the skills covered in this course, but lack the formal education required to pass the exams. Prerequisites The prerequisite for this course is Supporting Users Running the Microsoft Windows XP Operating System and basic experience with: A Microsoft Windows operating system such as Microsoft Windows XP.Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Windows accessories, including Internet Explorer.
