Course Overview

This course provides students with extensive hands on practice using the IBM Lotus Forms Designer. The student guide can be used as a reference guide to the Designer for building standard XFDL and XForms-enabled forms. The Lotus Forms Designer is based on the Eclipse platform, an environment for developing and delivering software applications. This course includes instruction on how to use the Eclipse Interface in the context of the Lotus Forms Designer.

This course is targeted to form designers, system architects, and application developers.

After completing this course, students should be able to:
  • Describe the basic products within the IBM Lotus Forms toolset.
  • Understand the Eclipse development environment and be able to customize as appropriate.
  • Understand the components of the IBM Lotus Forms Viewer and set preferences as needed.
  • Recognize and understand the syntactical fundamentals of the XFDL language
  • Build simple XFDL forms.
  • Apply advanced XFDL concepts.

Prerequisites

To ensure your success, we recommend you have equivalent knowledge:
