Course Overview

This course has been classified as IT Technical Training. The Oral Examination is the last hurdle to surmount on the pathway towards gaining the ISEB Business Analysis Diploma certification. This two day workshop will prepare delegates for this by reviewing the set of topics they've personally gained individual certificates in and by role-playing the Oral exam itself.

Delegates for the ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis who have successfully passed the necessary individual written exam certificates and are now preparing for the Oral Exam conducted by ISEB.

Examinations

Delegates may or may not already be booked to sit the S7BOX exam.

Prerequisites

This version is for delegates who have either 'Modelling Business Processes' or 'Benefits Management and Business Acceptance' as their specialism in addition to Business Analysis Essentials, Organisational Context and Requirements Engineering. Delegates must have taken and passed all the required written examinations. Registration for the real oral examination is not required, but is considered desirable.

Course Outline

Syllabus Review

Day 1 is spent reviewing each syllabus in detail to ensure delegates understand the relationship between the syllabus items and the Parity course material. Emphasis is placed on the interpretation of the material from an oral perspective. The morning is spent reviewing the core modules (ORGC, BAE and REBS).

The afternoon is spent reviewing the optional modules that delegates have taken. Since delegates may have elected a variety of specialist options, there are sessions of approximately 1 hour dedicated to each specialist subject. Delegates not involved in a particular session can undertake revision. Time will be allocated for a general Q&A session.

Individual Mock exams

On Day 2 individual mock orals take place under realistic conditions, given by 2 Parity examiners with experience of the real process. Feedback on the performance of individuals is given.

Notes

Delegates will be provided with a new manual with summary of the various modules but may wish to bring their course manuals and reading materials from the relevant courses.
