Course Overview Learn to fully leverage the use of Cisco Unified Communications Manager with IP phones, gateways and applications in this 5-day class. This training prepares you for planning, installing, configuring, and maintaining a Cisco Unified Communications solution in a single- and multisite environment. This class includes lab activities in which you will configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.0; configure gateways and build route plans to place intracluster, intercluster and PSTN calls. You will also configure telephony class of service (calling restrictions) and numerous user telephone features, services, media resources, mobility and new Cisco Unified Communications Manager features, like BLF Pickup, Local Route Groups, and so forth. This course has been classified as IT Technical Training. Audience The course is of special importance for all network and system engineers starting with Cisco Unified Communications Network Administrators, Network Engineers and Systems Engineers configuring and administering Cisco Unified Communications solutions. Prerequisites Delegates are required to meet the following prerequisites: - A working knowledge of LANs
- Knowledge of traditional public switched telephone network (PSTN) operations and voice fundamentals
- This course has no Cisco Unified Communications Manager prerequisites. If the courses CIPT1 and CIPT2 were visited or hands-on experience exists, the course Upgrading to Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 7.0 (UCM70) is recommended instead.
