Course Overview

This is a specific event to prepare for the MSP Practitioner Examination. Delegates attending this event must have attended the MSP Foundation course and may have already attended the MSP Intermediate course which was based upon the 2003 version of the MSP manual.

This course has been classified as Business Skills.

Audience

Programme Managers, experienced Project Managers, and Senior Business Managers from any discipline working at a Strategic Level to deliver change
Programme Support Team Members, who have observed the kind of organisational and culture change that programmes bring

Prerequisites

Delegates should have already attended the MSP Intermediate Course
Suggested 15 hours of pre-course preparation
Delegates are encouraged to complete 1-2 hours of evening work for each day of the course

Course Outline

How programmes come about
Identifying the outline of what the programme is to deliver
Defining in detail what the programme is to deliver and determining whether it is worthwhile
Managing the programme including ensuring benefits, realisation, effective and appropriate
Stakeholder Management, handling issues and managing risks across the programme
Ensuring that the programme remains worthwhile and aligned to strategic objectives
Delivering the required outcomes to the required quality
Programme reviews and audit
Practical Application Exercises including an opportunity to work in small teams
An integrated pack of sample examination questions
An opportunity to experience time management for the Practitioner examinations and trainer feedback on the results of the sample papers
