Course Overview

This class aims to provide technical staff new to LINUX with a sound appreciation of this powerful operating environment. The course provides attendees with knowledge and confidence in the most useful LINUX tools and utilities. Attendees will have a fundamental knowledge of the LINUX operating system and be able to use some of the more advanced LINUX facilities. Having gained suitable, complementary experience they can progress to further specialised training to establish peak effectiveness.

Audience

This course is for technical staff and users (support personnel, application developers, system integrators and power users) who require the basic skills necessary to interface effectively with LINUX. This course is suitable for most distributions of LINUX, including Red Hat and Caldera OpenLinux.

Prerequisites

Attendees should be technical staff who have a moderate knowledge of another operating system. No prior experience with LINUX is required.
